Biography

Reinchez is an award-winning composer for film and visual media. He started his formal musical training at the International College of Music (ICOM), Malaysia where he studied the Berklee Transfer Program. After ICOM, he went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Film Scoring, Magna Cum Laude from the world-renowned Berklee College of Music, Boston. At Berklee, Reinchez was involved with a number of recording sessions as a composer and conductor for his film scores. His composition, Melancholy was performed by the Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra (BCSO) led by Francisco Noya, Resident Conductor of Rhode Island Philharmonic. At Berklee, he trained under Eric Reasoner (music editor for Last Action Hero, Robin Hood: Price of Thieves), Duncan Watt (composer for the game, League of Legends, Need for Speed Undercover), Richard Davis (orchestrator for Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves) and Tim Huling (composer for The Beijing Olympics).

After Berklee, Reinchez then moved to Los Angeles where he worked as an Assistant to bassist and orchestrator, Dr. Norman Ludwin (orchestrator for Jurassic World, Inside Out, Star Trek Into Darkness). Right after, he went on to be an Assistant to Oscar-winning film composer and world music artist, Yuval Ron (Power Rangers, West Bank Story, Breaking the Maya Code). He was also the Score Production Coordinator for the Love Sick Musical, which received the San Francisco Chronicle's highest rating. Reinchez was featured as the lead and rhythm guitarist on the album Unity of The Heart, by the Yuval Ron Ensemble.

In 2016, Reinchez was involved with the Nollywood box office record- breaking movie, A Trip To Jamaica (2016) as a composer providing additional music. The film became the third-highest grossing Nollywood film in Nigeria in domestic gross. Reinchez had worked at Music and Motion Productions, a company run by composer, Lucas Vidal (Fast and Furious 6) while assisting an in-house composer, Tom Howe (Wonder Woman, The Legend of Tarzan) with music editing. Reinchez had also assisted composer, Nicholas O'Toole on the music for the MX Vs. ATV-All Out game with theme song by Slash (Guns N' Roses) and Nicholas. He also composed the music for the Los Angeles short film, Claws Out starring Tom Jenkins (Criminal Minds). The film was an official selection at the Los Angeles Cinema Festival of Hollywood 2020 and American Horrors Film Festival 2019. It bagged the Silver Award for Best Female Director at the Independent Shorts Awards LA. Other notable credits include scoring the music for a spot for Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup as well as scoring the music for the Behind The Scenes video of a short film, The Delivery starring Erik Valdez (General Hospital), Jonathan Lipnicki (Stuart Little) and the late Verne Troyer (Austin Powers).

Back home in Malaysia, Reinchez has composed the soundtrack for the horror feature film, Roh (2020) by the Malaysian film production company, Kuman Pictures and drama feature, Prebet Sapu which both represented Malaysia in the 93rd and 94th Oscars (The Academy Awards) in the Best International Feature Film category, respectively. He has also won the award for Best Original Score for Roh (2020) at the 31st Malaysian Film Festival. Reinchez’s other notable scores include those for the upcoming horror feature film remake, Rahsia by Astro Shaw, Lotus Five Star and Kuman Pictures as well as a thriller feature film, Ceroboh by Kuman Pictures. Apart from feature films, he has also worked on a Malaysian short film, My Name Is Raphael as well as on a Chinese New Year 2021 commercial titled Shared Prosperity and Wisdom by Sunway Group.
